Prayer Walk

Let this text from Colossians 4:2-6 be your guide:

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison- that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. (ESV)

1. Praise God that He is at work, drawing people to Himself (and that He uses even us) (v.2)
2. Pray that God would open doors for the gospel to go forth in your neighborhood and community (v.3), and that His word would ‘speed ahead’ (cf. 2 Thess 3:1)
3. Pray that He would enable us to clearly declare the mystery of Christ, and for the wisdom to know when and how to speak to unbelievers we encounter (v.4)
4. Pray that God would show us how to conduct ourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of the time (v.5)
5. Pray that our speech would be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that we would know how we should answer each person (v.6)
6. Praise God that nothing is too difficult for the Lord with regard to salvation (cf. Mk 10:27)
