Disciple Flow
We believe that a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ at SAPC is marked by consistent participation in corporate worship, and involvement in a connect group, a Growth Class and a Service Opportunity.
WORSHIP: A disciple is faithful to worship with God’s people not merely out of duty, but out of joyful gratitude for salvation. Regular attendance at corporate worship is essential for those who would know Jesus Christ, love Him more and serve Him better.
CONNECT: A disciple will connect with other believers for fellowship, prayer, friendship, and support. It is our desire for every member to be involved in at least one connection group at SAPC. Scripture makes it clear that God’s people are to function as a unified body, in community with one another. Community Groups, along with other connection groups in the church, are established and organized for this purpose.
GROW: A disciple is committed to continue to grow and to be a lifelong learner of the things of God. Our desire is for every member to be part of at least one Growth Class per semester to grow and mature in their understanding of God’s Word and its application to their lives.
SERVE: A disciple seeks to use his/her gifts and abilities to serve God and others as an application of genuine faith. We desire each member to be an active part of the church by using their time and talents for the glory of God. We have a vision for every-member ministry and seek to guide each one into a gift-based, passion-driven role in the church in at least one service opportunity.
Looking at this, becoming part of SAPC can seem overwhelming. But that’s not our desire. We believe that if you have one touchpoint in each of these four areas, then you are fully engaged and enfolded in our church. We don’t expect you to be at the church building every time its doors are open. We know that life has other priorities at times like family, work, and even rest. What we seek to do is provide opportunities to worship, connect, grow, and serve so that you can joyfully know Jesus, love Him more, and serve Him better.
