Elisabeth Cary

Overview

Elisabeth’s parents taught her to love God from an early age, and through her family’s many moves during her childhood, Elisabeth came to see that her life was under the Lord’s direction. After completing her master’s in secondary education, Elisabeth taught high school English in a rural public school in North Carolina. During that time she sensed God calling her to overseas ministry.

After serving short-term in Sofia, Bulgaria, God confirmed Elisabeth’s calling as a missionary. She serves with MTW Bulgaria’s church-planting team. This team is committed to showing the love of Christ to make known the hope of Christ through community outreach and discipleship. Elisabeth teaches with the team’s English language ministry in order to develop friendships and share the hope of Christ. In addition to teaching English, Elisabeth supports the work of the church plant through discipleship, and tutors women who have been rescued from prostitution and trafficking.

God has been working in amazing ways! As the church plant in Sofia grows, please pray for Elisabeth as she shares Jesus’ love and reaches out to her Bulgarian friends who are meeting Jesus.
