Grace Chung

Overview

Grace was born in Korea, and immigrated to eastern Pennsylvania as a child. She is trained as an occupational therapist, and believes her profession’s focus on dignity in meaningful human occupation for all would be well served on the mission field. Grace directed her church’s special needs Sunday school, and was a pastor’s wife and mother to their two daughters, Miran and Liz. After her husband’s death in 2011, Grace found strength to continue their mutual mission calling, resting on God’s promise in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Grace has served in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, since 2017 as part of a church-revitalizing team in post-communist, free Bulgaria. Local churches are supported through teaching, preaching, discipleship, and community mercy outreach. Grace enters the disability community, partnering with the local churches and nationals, to be a tangible evidence of Christ’s love. She prays for transformation and reconciliation to God for the lost and the hurting of Plovdiv, many on the fringes of society in a shame-based culture. Please pray that God will use her to advance the kingdom work in Bulgaria.
